I meant to cancel that…
It happens to everybody: you wanted to try a service, but it required your card details, you signed up for the trial, forgot to cancel the subscription, and promptly got charged after a few weeks. 🥲
Sometimes, people stop using a service and simply forget to cancel the subscription, and other times, people just want to know the numerous services they're paying for.
This is why we're building Moneo.
Research
We got the incentive to build Moneo after seeing a number of Twitter users complain about their struggles with tracking subscriptions. We learnt that some people create reminders and calendar events for certain subscriptions and a one Twitter user mentioned she went as far as setting up an excel sheet to help her see everything in one place.
To validate some of our assumptions on a larger scale, we asked potential users a few questions about their current subscription habits to understand their needs better. Here’s some of the data that influenced product decisions (click here for the full results).
So what can Moneo do?
Manage subscriptions
Adding a subscription to Moneo is seamless; share the name of the service you would like to track, payment currency, amount, date, and a few other details and we can start tracking it. You can edit your subscriptions at any time or even delete them.
Track expenses
Even for users paying for subscriptions in varying currencies, Moneo helps you stay on top of everything by displaying your average spend on a weekly, monthly, or annual basis.
Payment reminders
Set an optional reminder date while adding a subscription, and get a notification for your upcoming charge. It could be a day, week, or even a month before. It's completely up to you.
Full prototype
We started Moneo because it’s a product we would use, but based on user research, we’ve found a lot of people with the same needs. This is why we’re committed to building something our users would be proud of when we launch. Visit getmoneo.com to join our waitlist. 🚀
